Well, after fifteen months of hard work, scrimping and saving, with the phenomenal support of some very amazing friends, Lisa and I are finally homeowners!
And, yes, my Twin Cities friends, there's going to be a big party later this summer! I had to show off our dining room (above) and my new studio. Yup, all the space you see in the pic below is all mine! Lisa is thrilled with her new studio in our very cool basement, which I'll be showing soon.
This is a view from the entrance way.
Our house is a 1925 bungalow, by the way, and we're going to be decorating it with a special focus on that particular period, extending into the late 1930s. We're also already well on the way of developing a 1939 World's Fair motif for our spacious kitchen, being as we're rather close to the Fairgrounds.
Also, if the wind is right, we can hear the wolves howl and the lions roar from the nearly zoo. Maybe, if we're really lucky, an escaped gorilla will run amok down our avenue...!
