First Project of 2012

My first announcement of 2012 involves yet another Edgar Rice Burroughs project. I was honored this past week by being asked to write something a bit different about ERB for a new publisher. More news on this as it develops.

The down side was that I had to refuse other projects I'd very much like to have done. It was especially sad for me to bail from contributing to Moonstone's next anthology of THE SPIDER. That smarted a bit, as I've been writing THE SPIDER semi-regularly since 2006 and have come to feel a sort of co-ownership of the character. Also, I've become close to Norvell Page's descendants, who have accepted me like one of the family. However, Moonstone still possesses several SPIDER stories from me that have yet to see print, so I'm not yet done with the Master of Men.

In the meanwhile, I hope my various graphic novels for Sequential Pulp/Dark Horse Comics, all authorized and licensed by ERB, Inc., will excite you as much as they do for me. So far, these include: TARZAN AT THE EARTH'S CORE, NUMBER 13 (The Monster Men), CASPAK: The Land That Time Forgot, THE CAVE GIRL, THE ETERNAL SAVAGE, and AT THE EARTH'S CORE, illustrated by some of the finest artists in the industry.

ERB has been my favorite author since I was a kid, and it's a dream come true to play within his incomparable imagination.

Here's to 2012...'Kree-gah!!'
