Yesterday at Barnes & Noble's Book-signing

 'Twas yesterday. Went very nicely, with a hefty crowd. Thanks, everyone, for braving the weather and coming out to see me.

This is all that was left of my high stacks at Barnes and Noble, after today's signing. It was rather startling, seeing the books collected all together.  I'd even forgotten that I wrote some of them...!

I spent most of the first ninety minutes spinning wicked tales of how I used to torment my teachers, usually with rather annoying questions such as "Why does the ocean look blue, but when you scoop up the water in your hands it's clear?  Can't be the reflection of the blue sky, 'cause even on dreary grey days the ocean looks blue or sometimes even green.  So, how come?"

 

 My closing remarks to the teachers: "And in conclusion, can any of you tell me what happened to all the comics you guys confiscated from me when I was a kid...?"  

 In short, I had a blast.  Special thanks to Janet Waller, B& N Community Relations Manager who made me feel so welcome -- and has graciously invited me back for the release of my and Diana Leto's HALLOWEEN LEGION graphic novel.
