Once Upon a Halloween Part Four

A peek at a page from a special back-up story, "Once Upon a Halloween", illustrated by artist Diana Leto of Sesame Street, which will be featured in my upcoming HALLOWEEN LEGION graphic novel from Sequential Pulp/Dark Horse Comics.

It's an autobiographical tale of my first experience Trick 'R Treating with my older brothers when I was six years old. This spooky real-life adventure indirectly inspired THE HALLOWEEN LEGION's creation many years later and, I suppose, it's sort of my own origin, as well.

Introducing Jane

Allow me to introduce Jane. She's staying here as a foster dog, until she gets adopted. Jane was rescued from a horrible puppy mill and her life has been nightmarish, until now.

She's gentle and very shy, but she doesn't trust people, and she really has no good reason to. However, she loves the beagle and is nicely intrigued by the cats. It won't happen overnight, but I intend to prove to her that not all humans are cruel.

We'll be good friends someday soon, just like her and Trudaloo.

Home Sweet Home for Posey

Wonderful news!

Remember Posey, the English bulldog who had her foster home here for a few days? She had to go to a cooler place after the AC went out here last week. Very sad saying good-bye to her....however -- I just learned that Posey was adopted into her forever home last Saturday! I knew it wouldn't take long because, although she'd spent all six years of her life in a horrid puppy mill, she was the sweetest dog you could ever want.

Thankfully, Posey has only love and comfort ahead with her new family.

Good girl, Posey. I'll always miss you.

The Halloween Legion Graphic Novel

Is it the calm after the storm for the World's Weirdest Heroes, or does yet another terrifying tempest await them?

My THE HALLOWEEN LEGION goes from prose to their graphic novel debut in "The Great Goblin Invasion", written by me and illustrated by Thomas Boatwright. Published by Sequential Pulp/Dark Horse Comics later this year.

Meet Posey

Meet Posey. She's staying here as a foster dog, until she gets adopted. So far, she's getting along fine with the beagle and the cats. She was rescued from an awful puppy mill and has had a pretty hard life....till now. Nothing but good times from now on.
