R.I.P. Kevin McCarthy

A sad farewell to Kevin McCarthy, who passed away today at the amazing age of 96. He was one of my favorite genre actors, always fun to watch, and played a wonderful Sherlock Holmes on Radio Mystery Theater.

The historic Heights Theater of Minneapolis will be showing his most famous film, INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS, on their big screen later this month, and you'd better believe that I'm going to be sitting there in the audience.

Rest in Peace, sir. I already miss you.

  2. Sorry to hear of his passing. I don't know of too many of his other roles, but I sure know of the Body Snatchers film. I've seen it many times and scared gee-whiz out of me the first time I saw it. For me, it's the only and best edition of that film.
